Congratulations to the Commack girls basketball team on their playoff win over Longwood.
I still have Sony’s 20mm f/1.8 lens for evaluation so a lot of the photos in this gallery are using that lens. As in yesterday’s boys playoff game, I used it for the 2nd and 3rd periods and shot the 1st and 4th periods with my 50mm. It’s an extremely wide lens that gives a different perspective and a little variety in a photo gallery never hurts. If our backcourt were a little deeper I could get the whole floor in the shot, as you can see from the banner photo above. As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, it’s very sharp with minimal distortion and has extremely fast autofocus.
