This match was quite a battle with great play by both teams.
I like to shoot at least one set through the net towards the players. How you focus on players on the other side of the net depends on how good your camera’s autofocus is. My Sony a1 has really good face/eye detect autofocus and can usually focus on a player through the net as long as their face isn’t blocked by an arm. When I shot with Fujifilm cameras this was not the case so I’d move my focus sensor to the lower part of the viewfinder and focus on the player’s legs below the net. Either strategy works but if you have a camera that can do face-detect well, this option is much easier.
