Commack High School Varsity Football vs. Northport
Caught the Commack football team in a scrimmage with Northport on Friday.
That was my first time shooting a football scrimmage. Interesting rules. It seems every sport does scrimmages a little differently.
I was shooting with my usual field sports camera settings but I think I might try turning off face/eye detect autofocus for the next football game. The helmets were driving it nuts and it was picking up spectator faces in the stands on shots where it couldn’t clearly detect a player’s face under the helmet. Outside of that, same equipment and settings as field hockey in the previous post.
Now that school is open we should be pretty much done with scrimmages and on to the regular schedule. That’s a good thing for me. Less confusing.
