Commack High School Girls Varsity Bowling
Photographed the Commack bowling teams at a practice at Bowlero Lanes on Monday. I separated the girls and boys teams into two separate galleries. I’ll post the boys team next.
Bowling always presents some exposure challenges. Most lanes are pretty dark to accommodate the special lighting effects that have become popular in the last few years. Bowlero presents some additional challenges since it’s ceilings are black and the walls are red. This means you can’t bounce a flash off anything so you have to shoot with direct flash, which is not exactly the most flattering light.
Luckily for me, there were some free lanes between the boys and girl teams so I was able to get some side shots without the flash.
