Commack High School Boys and Girls Varsity Cross Country vs. Bay Shore
Caught both the Commack boys and girls cross country teams at their meet with Bay Shore last Thursday.
This meet got off pretty late because of the usual bus issues so the sun was getting pretty low. This made for some warm, but contrasty light. At the bridge near the finish the sun was strong enough on the runners to make the trees on the far side of the river go dark. It’s a nice look that really makes the runners stand out.
I was shooting with a Sony a1 with the 100-400 zoom. Exposure was 1/2000 sec. with a wide open aperture and auto-ISO. which averaged between 320 and 640.
