Commack High School Varsity Softball vs. West Islip - Playoff
Very well-played game by both teams with great pitching. Didn’t end the way Commack would have liked but they had a great season.
I spent the first two innings of this game shooting in manual autofocus because I thought there was something wrong with my camera. Turns out I had somehow accidentally set my “AF with Shutter” menu option to “Off”, which prevents the camera from focusing when the shutter button is pressed. I tried just about every autofocus setting on the camera plus the usual troubleshooting steps like turning it off and on and removing and replacing the batteries before I figured out what it was. I hadn’t used manual focus since my film days but I didn’t do too badly. I’m just glad I figured out the problem after two innings.
