Commack High School Girls Varsity Volleyball vs. Walt Whitman
Solid win for the Commack girls volleyball team against Whitman.
This was a great match that took a while to complete. It was my first volleyball match of the season and I probably went a little nuts with the photos. 115 keepers is a lot but I’m blaming it on the camera. I was amazed to find that it’s face/eye detect autofocus actually works shooting through the volleyball net most of the time. I was having so much fun testing this out that I wound up with way too many images.
I shot this match with a Sony a1. I used a 50mm prime for the side shots and a 135mm prime for the shots from the back court. Exposure was 1/1000 sec. @ f/2. Auto-ISO gave me anywhere from 3200 to 5000 across the court.
